Gulden Bayaz

Gulden is a development economist with twelve years of experience in economic appraisals (including cost benefit analyses), value for money (VfM) analyses and VfM framework design. She has worked for government departments and major development partners including FCDO, the World Bank, European Union and USAID. Gulden has extensive experience of working in Bangladesh, Nepal, Nigeria and Ethiopia as a VfM Advisor, on large scale infrastructure and urban development programmes as well private sector development programmes funded by FCDO.  She was also a VfM Advisor for the £560m Humanitarian portfolio of FCDO South Sudan, assisting the implementing partners with setting up VfM frameworks and conducting VfM assessments.

Gulden has an MSc in International Political Economy from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a BA (first class hns) from International Studies at Ankara University.

Dr. Ijeoma Edoka

Ijeoma is a health economist with several years’ experience in applied health econometric analyses and economic evaluation of health care programmes and interventions. Ijeoma has also led several capacity building initiatives aimed at strengthening health economics capacity in sub-Saharan Africa including a Gates-funded Teaching Vaccine Economics Everywhere (TVEE) initiative in Southern Africa and was joint coordinator of the MPH Health Economics programme and coordinator of all Economic Evaluation modules at the Wits School of Public Health from 2018-2021.

She is a member of several national and international technical advisory committees including the South Africa National Advisory Group on Immunisation (NAGI), the WHO-Afro Regional Immunisation Technical Advisory Group (RITAG), the WHO Geneva Steering Committee on Country-Led Assessment for Prioritisation on Immunisation (CAPACITI) and the Technical Working Group on the Cost-effectiveness and Budget Impact of COVID-19 vaccines for the South African Ministerial Advisory Committee on COVID-19 vaccines.

Adetola Oladimeji

Adetola is a health policy and systems consultant with years of experience across different states in Nigeria. She is passionate about evidence-based health policies and service delivery models. She has worked in quality improvement for maternal and neonatal health, maternal healthcare research, capacity building for program officers in health MDAs and more recently, in expanding routine immunization coverage in security-compromised areas in Borno, Nigeria.

She has her first degree in Medicine and Surgery from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria and a MPH in Health Policy and Management from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria.

Dr Aduragbemi Banke-Thomas

Aduragbemi is a health policy and health economics researcher at LSE Health, London School of Economics and Political Science, United Kingdom and Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Reproductive Health Research and Innovation, Lagos, Nigeria. His specific areas of research interest are on cost-effectiveness and quality of maternal and reproductive health care in low- and middle-income countries.

Aduragbemi obtained his degree in medicine and surgery from Lagos State University, Nigeria and completed his postgraduate training as part of the double-degree awarding Erasmus Mundus Europubhealth programme, during which he was awarded his Master of Public Health with distinction at the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom and a second Master of Health policy and Programme Management, at Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Santé Publique, Rennes, France. Aduragbemi subsequently completed his Ph.D. at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine during which he pioneered the application of the social return on investment methodology to assess the value for money of a maternal health intervention in Kenya.

Dr. Nura Musa

Nura has more than 20 years’ experience in Finance, operations & administration in both Public and development sector. He worked for more than a decade in a large USAID and DFID-funded projects in finance and operations. He is known for his analytical and quantitative skills in problem-solving situations. He attended training in US, Europe and many African Countries. Nura is a consultant in areas of budget and Planning, value for Money (VfM), Health Financing, Financial management, grants Management and logistics support.

Nura has a PhD in Accounting & Finance and is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).

Dr. Adesoji Ologun

Adesoji is a Health Economist with over a decade of working experience in the Nigerian health sector, including 7 years as a development consultant and Value for Money specialist. He has provided technical and advisory support to the Government of Nigeria at the Local, State and National level in the areas of healthcare policy and planning.

Adesoji is a graduate of Medicine and Surgery from University of Ilorin, Nigeria, with a MPH and MSc in Public Health and Health Economics (Economic Evaluation for Health Technology Assessment) from University of Lagos, Nigeria and University of York, United Kingdom respectively.

Jenna Treen

Jenna has 10 years experience working across sectors in international development programme management, value for money and monitoring & evaluation. She has supported a number of development programmes to monitor results and value for money including maternal health programmes in Northern Nigeria and governance and accountability programmes. She has undertaken capacity building initiatives with the Nigerian Government including designing a student information management system for Health Training Institutions, setting up a Community of Practice with the National & State Bureau of Statistics and has undertaken an assessment of the child protection information management system in 3 Nigerian States and at the federal level.

Jenna holds a BA in Social Anthropology from the University of Sussex and an MA in International Studies from the University of Sydney. She is currently a Masters and PhD student at the University of Hull undertaking ESRC funded ​Masters in Social Research and PhD research in the prevention of child trafficking in Nigeria.

Temitope Oke

Temitope has six years’ experience working in the Nigerian health sector including three years in public health practice including health management information system (HMIS), monitoring and evaluation. He has provided technical support to State governments in Nigeria in the areas of health planning, monitoring and evaluation. He was part of the Partnership for Transforming Health Systems team, an eight-year health systems strengthening program in Nigeria.

Temitope holds a bachelor degree in Dental Surgery from the University of Lagos and certifications in Monitoring and Evaluation from the USAID Measure Evaluation online program. He has completed a Masters in Public Health at the University of Roehampton, London. He is a District Health Information Systems 2 Level 1 graduate from the DHIS2 Academy, Health Information Systems Program Nigeria and University of Oslo.

Andrew Mirelman

Andrew Mirelman is a Technical Officer at the Health Systems Governance and Financing Department at the World Health Organization. His work deals with economic issues of policy evaluation and decision-making in low and middle-income countries. He has several years of experience conducting cost-effectiveness analyses, and he works on developing equity methods for economic evaluation. Andrew has worked across many health topics including health systems, childhood immunisation, non-communicable diseases, family planning and the conflict impacts on health. With LAMP, he has served as an advisor on several economic evaluation and health financing projects.

Previous to WHO, he was a Research Fellow at the University of York’s Centre for Health Economics. He obtained his PhD from the Department of International Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in 2014 where his dissertation looked at the economics of non-communicable disease in Bangladesh. He also has an MPH from Johns Hopkins and a BSc in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Virginia.
